Of the movies that are out now what do you recommend? I want to see Gran Turino, but haven't found the time yet.

I went to "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" over the weekend. It was pretty funny. A little stupid, but funny.

That kind of what I expected so I guess I'll have to go see it. I like "stupid" when it's done right.

Just saw Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. It was cool, but "rental" cool. The first underworld was the best one yet.

Can't wait for Watchmen and Fanboys!

I still need to see the new Underworld movie. I'll probably go this weekend. Should I go in with low expectations?

Not low, no. Just understand:

1- it was a low-budget film compared to the other two
2 - no "name" stars - just supporting roles from the other two
3 - it takes place during medieval times
4 - while visually appealing, the script, directing and acting leave something to be desired
5 - if you are following the series, it leaves some holes and questions unanswered
6 - it is a prequel to the the other two, not a sequel

If you go in expecting to see vampires and werewolves doing bloody battle, it won't disappoint!

I think I'm going to go see Taken this weekend. I've heard it was really good.

District 9 is on my list. Wife a 15 mo old daughter its not as often we make it to the theater. I still haven't seen the new terminator. There are a bunch of movies. But we just got our membership started up again with Hollywood Video. Their CS is way better than Blockbusters. I hate blockbuster.

But on a really crappy note we are stuck watching them on our 27" CRT TV because my 42" plasma went out. I don't know when I'll be able to buy a replacement, but it is no time soon.

I really want to see District 9 and Inglorious Bastards. I hear they're both great movies. The Terminator movie was pretty good. I heard it didn't turn out the way it was supposed to, though.
