There's an old saying that an armed society is a polite society. By the end of this year there will be an estimated 80,000 new applicants for Utah's Concealed Firearm Permit, based on the 52,000 applicants over the last seven months.
The Whitehouse is calling all citizens to report anyone who opposes the health care plan and other agendas to government officials. This includes your friends and relatives who simply say they may not agree. The following was copied from Whitehouse.gov.
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to

Is 'disinformation' a code word for 'opposition?' Here's what Jeff Emanuel at RedState.com has to say about it.
Of course, as we’ve seen in the health care debate to date, the term “disinformation” is used by the Obama White House as a catchall to describe any opposition to the President’s push for single-payer, government-run health care — meaning the White House wants to be informed of any forwarded emails or blog posts or any “casual conversations” that could be taken as opposition to their health care overhaul plan.
This seems to be unlawful according to 5 U.S.C. § 552a (e)(7), United States agencies, including the Executive Office of the President shall, “maintain no record describing how any individual exercises rights guaranteed by the First Amendment unless expressly authorized by statute or by the individual about whom the record is maintained or unless pertinent to and within the scope of an authorized law enforcement activity.”
I have yet to see any statute that "expressly authorizes" anyone to record how I feel about the Health Care Bill, nor are my feelings on the matter pertinent to or within the scope of any law enforcement activity.
And finally, here are Glenn Becks thoughts on the new Disinformation Czar Linda Douglass.
I found a lot of good Todd Jarrett videos on Youtube tonight. I picked some of my favorites and posted them. Here is another good one (or rather, two).
Part 1. Todd Jarrett's world record - shooting 1000 rounds with a Para USA PXT 1911 SSP. More at http://www.downrange.tv/show1/
Part 2. Todd Jarrett's world record - shooting 1000 rounds with a Para USA PXT 1911 SSP.
More from Todd Jarrett on improving your shooting skills. This time Todd's showing you the way to make fast tactical reloads when the pressure is on.
In the Police Academy they taught us tactical reloads backwards to how he's showing us. We learned the off hand grabs mag, index finger drops down the side so the mag is between the index and middle fingers, mag is dropped from the gun into off hand between index finger and thumb, new mag (which is now behind the old one) is inserted into the gun, and the semi-full mag is put into a pocket, not the magazine pouch. We only keep full mags in the mag pouch so we don't get confused.
As with all techniques, there's not really a right or wrong way, there's only the way that works best for your purposes.
